The tray most floors run most days. 1.3–1.6 mm is the workhorse band of commercial pavé, and the DSSMT-02 feeds it — a 40×80 machined grid holding 3,200 stones per fill, pitched for clean 503 and 503B nozzle pickup at full speed. For Pro Plus and Double Head 8 Nozzle machines. Same-day dispatch from Mumbai and Rajkot.

If you had to own exactly one tray, this would be it. The 1.3–1.6 mm band carries the bulk of commercial pavé work in the Indian trade — the bangles, the pendants, the daily-wear rings that move in volume — and the DSSMT-02 is the tray built to feed it. Same 40×80 matrix and 3,200-stone capacity as the micro-pavé tray below it, repitched for the larger stone so the 503 and 503B nozzles seat squarely on every pickup.
Because this is the band you run most, it is also the tray that accumulates the most hours — and the one whose condition quietly sets your yield. A tray that has been swept clean with a brush a thousand times develops rounded pocket edges, and rounded pocket edges let stones sit proud. The nozzle still comes down, but it grabs air or clips the girdle. Keeping a fresh DSSMT-02 in rotation on your highest-volume band is the cheapest yield insurance on the floor.

Trays are sized by stone band, and each band pairs with a specific nozzle. Find your stone size below and you have your tray — and your nozzle with it. This tray is highlighted.
| Tray Code | Stone Size Band | Grid | Capacity | Nozzle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DSSMT-01 | 0.8 – 1.2 mm | 40 × 80 | 3,200 | 502 / 502B |
| DSSMT-02 | 1.3 – 1.6 mm | 40 × 80 | 3,200 | 503 / 503B ◀ this product |
| DSSMT-03 | 1.7 – 1.9 mm | 40 × 80 | 3,200 | 503B |
| DSSMT-04 | 2.0 – 2.5 mm | 20 × 40 | 800 | 504 |
| DSSMT-05 | 2.5 – 3.0 mm | 20 × 40 | 800 | 504 |
Same 1.3–1.6 mm band is also made as the wide-format SSMWT-02 (30 × 85 grid, 2,550 stones) for longer machine beds. If you are stepping down a size, DSSMT-01 covers 0.8–1.2 mm; stepping up, DSSMT-03 covers 1.7–1.9 mm.
This tray will see more cycles than any other on your floor, so give it the small courtesies: invert to empty rather than sweeping stones across the pockets, blow out with clean dry air, store flat and unstacked, and keep solvents off the pocket faces. Scoring or etching a pocket changes its depth, and depth is what the nozzle is calibrated against. On a high-volume band it is worth running two trays in rotation so neither takes the full load.
Match three things and you cannot go wrong: the stone size band (1.3 – 1.6 mm for this tray), the nozzle already fitted to your machine (503 or 503B), and your machine model. If any of the three does not match, order the tray next to it on the ladder above instead — or send us your machine model and stone size and we will confirm it for you before dispatch.
Yes — this tray is dimensioned for Semsons Tech Pro Plus and Double Head 8 Nozzle wax setting machines. It is not a generic import tray cut to a nominal size; the pocket pitch is machined to the coordinate map our setters actually use, which is what keeps pickup accurate from the first stone to the last.
Stay inside the published band. Stones under the band sit too deep for the nozzle to seat against, and oversized stones bridge across the pocket mouth and get knocked aside on the next pass. Both show up as skipped positions in the wax, which you only discover after casting.
Most production floors keep one tray per size band they actually run, plus a spare of their highest-volume band. On double-station and double-head machines a second tray removes the reload pause entirely — you pre-fill one while the other is on the bed.
Empty it by inversion over a sorting pad rather than brushing stones across the pockets, blow out dust with clean dry air, and store it flat. Never stack loaded trays, and keep solvents off the pocket faces — anything that etches or scores a pocket changes its depth, and depth is what the nozzle is calibrated against.
On a single-station machine, a second tray mainly buys you a spare. On a double-station or double-head machine it buys you throughput — you pre-fill the second tray while the first is on the bed, so the reload stops disappearing from your cycle time. Most floors running this band in volume keep two.
The DSSMT-02 ships same-day from our Mumbai and Rajkot warehouses, across India and to the 34+ countries we export to. Buying a full set of compact DSSMT trays to cover your whole size range, or restocking several of one band for a multi-machine floor? Ask for set pricing rather than ordering them one at a time.
