Holds the wax still, so the machine stays right. A ready-to-use fixing putty — no mixing, no catalyst, no cure time — that beds a wax model onto the mounting base and keeps it there through a full setting run. Peels off clean and re-forms for the next piece. Tub B is the purple one, handy for colour-coding shifts or wax types. Same-day dispatch from Mumbai and Rajkot.

Wax Setting Silicon SSMAB-01B is the putty that sits between your mounting base and your wax model. It arrives ready to use — you do not mix it, catalyse it or wait for it — and its job is simple and absolute: bed the model down, hold it through every vibration of a full production run, then let go cleanly when you want it to. Tub B is the purple one, which makes it easy to tell apart from Tub A across shifts or wax types.
Every automated setting run rests on one assumption: that the wax model is exactly where the machine thinks it is, and stays there. A model that shifts by a fraction of a millimetre halfway through a run does not stop the machine or throw an error — it simply keeps setting stones against a coordinate map that no longer matches reality, and you find out when the piece comes out of casting. Fixing silicon is the cheapest part of that chain and the one most often treated as an afterthought.

Fixing silicon is a consumable, and the signal that it is finished is loss of clean impression. Once a pad has taken on enough wax crumb, workshop dust or stray stones that it no longer moulds crisply around a model, it is gripping on high spots rather than over the whole contact area — and a model gripped on high spots can pivot. Replace it then, not when it finally lets go of something.
No. This is a ready-to-use fixing putty, not a two-part casting silicone. You take it from the tub, press it onto the base, bed the wax into it and run. There is no catalyst, no mixing ratio and no waiting for a cure.
Formulation and behaviour are the same. The colour differs — A is white, B is purple — so that floors running more than one operator, shift or wax type can tell at a glance which batch is on which base. Order whichever you prefer, or both if you want the colour coding.
Yes, within reason. It peels off the wax and the base cleanly and can be re-formed for the next model. Replace it once it has picked up enough wax crumb, dust or stone debris to stop taking a clean impression — contaminated putty grips unevenly, and uneven grip is model movement.
It is formulated to release from wax rather than bond to it, so a clean model peels off clean. What does distort wax is heat and force, so bed the model in with steady even pressure rather than pushing it down hard, and keep the tub away from radiators and direct sun.
Enough to bed the model without swallowing it — the stone-bearing surfaces must stay clear for the nozzle, and the model must not be able to rock. Most operators find their own quantity within a few pieces; if in doubt, err towards a slightly larger pad and a shallower bed.
Fixing silicon ships same-day from our Mumbai and Rajkot warehouses, across India and to the 34+ countries we export to. Most production floors order it alongside mounting bases and their tray and nozzle set — if you are stocking a machine from scratch, ask us for a consumables kit rather than assembling it item by item.
Semsons Tech has supplied the Indian jewellery trade since 1978, with 16+ stores and warehouses, 450+ dealers and 40+ distributors behind every consumable we sell.
Not sure which part fits your machine? Send us your machine model and the stone size you are running, and we will confirm the correct item before we dispatch — so you never pay to find out it was the wrong one.
