Nozzle 502B – Suction Nozzle for Automatic Stone Setting Machines (1.0–1.2mm Diamonds)

₹360.00

In stock

The 1.0–1.2 mm micro-pavé nozzle. 502B picks the upper zone of the DSSMT-01 and DSSMT-01L trays (tray nos. 10-11-12) — the sizes that carry eternity bands and halo coverage. A consumable wear part: rising skip rate on an unchanged tray usually means the nozzle, not the tray. Stocked, same-day dispatch from Mumbai and Rajkot.

Nozzle 502B — 1.0 to 1.2 mm

Order this nozzle if
Your stones are 1.0 – 1.2 mm round diamonds, CZ or lab-grown.
Your tray is DSSMT-01 or DSSMT-01L, tray numbers 10-11-12. Nozzle and tray are always ordered as a pair.
Your machine is any Semsons Tech Mini Pro, Pro Series, Pro Plus or Double Head 8 Nozzle setter.
You are buying one nozzle. Multi-nozzle heads need one per position — count before you order.

The 502B is the second nozzle in the micro-pavé pair. It feeds from the same DSSMT-01 or DSSMT-01L tray as the 502, but from the 10-11-12 zone — the 1.0 to 1.2 mm rounds that make up the bulk of eternity band and halo coverage work. Slightly larger aperture, same tight seal tolerance, same job: lift clean, hold through travel, release on arrival.

Most floors that run micro-pavé run both of these nozzles, because most micro-pavé designs use both bands. Keeping the pair stocked means a size change never becomes a supply problem, and a worn tip never becomes a production stoppage — you swap and carry on rather than waiting for a courier.

Matching Nozzle to Stone Size

Every nozzle covers one stone band and pairs with a specific tray. Find your stone size below and you have both. This nozzle is highlighted.

Code Nozzle Stone Size Pairs With Tray
SSMN-01 502 0.8 – 0.9 mm DSSMT-01 / DSSMT-01L (tray nos. 08-09)
SSMN-02 502B 1.0 – 1.2 mm DSSMT-01 / DSSMT-01L (tray nos. 10-11-12) ◀ this product
SSMN-03 503 1.3 – 1.4 mm DSSMT-02 / SSMWT-02 (tray nos. 13-14)
SSMN-04 503B 1.5 – 1.9 mm DSSMT-02 & DSSMT-03 / SSMWT-02 & SSMWT-03
SSMN-05 504 2.0 – 3.0 mm DSSMT-04 & DSSMT-05 / SSMWT-04 & SSMWT-05

The 502 (0.8-0.9 mm) and this nozzle share the DSSMT-01 / DSSMT-01L tray between them. If you set micro-pavé across both bands, order both — they are not interchangeable.

When to Replace It

A nozzle is the fastest-wearing part on a stone setting machine, and it rarely fails outright — it degrades. The tip aperture dulls, the sealing sleeve hardens, and your skip rate climbs a little each week until somebody finally notices that the wax models are coming off the bed with gaps in them. Watch for these:

  • Rising skip rate on a tray and stone size that used to run clean
  • One head lagging on a multi-nozzle machine — usually the first nozzle to go
  • Stones dropped in travel rather than never picked up — that is a seal problem, not a tray problem
  • A dulled or belled tip aperture under a loupe
  • A hardened or split sealing sleeve that no longer compresses

Watch for stones being dropped part-way through travel rather than never picked up at all. At this size that pattern points at the sealing sleeve rather than the tip, and a hardened sleeve will not recover with cleaning.

Where This Nozzle Is Used

  • Eternity bands and halo rings — 1.0–1.2 mm edge-to-edge coverage layouts
  • Volume micro-pavé — the upper band of fine stone work
  • Lab-grown diamond lines — CVD and HPHT rounds at export tolerances
  • Mixed micro-pavé designs — paired with the 502 for full 0.8–1.2 mm coverage
  • Spare stock — one of the two nozzles worth always having on the shelf

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know my nozzle is worn out?

Your skip rate tells you before anything else does. When a machine that used to run a full tray clean starts leaving occasional empty positions in the wax — and the tray, the air pressure and the stone size have not changed — the nozzle tip is what changed. Under a loupe you will usually see a dulled or slightly belled tip aperture, or a sealing sleeve that has hardened and stopped sealing.

How long should a nozzle last?

Honestly, it depends on your hours, your stones and your air quality, so any number we quoted would be a guess dressed up as a spec. What we can tell you is what to watch: rising skip rate, inconsistent pickup on one head of a multi-head machine, and visible tip wear. Floors running continuous shifts treat nozzles as a stocked consumable, not a repair part.

Can I use one nozzle for several stone sizes?

Only within its published band. The tip aperture is sized to seal against a specific stone diameter — too small and it will not lift, too large and it loses vacuum around the girdle and drops the stone mid-travel. The ladder above shows exactly which band each nozzle covers.

My machine has several nozzles. Do I replace them all together?

On a multi-nozzle head, replacing them as a set keeps pickup consistent across positions — one fresh nozzle beside three worn ones just makes the worn ones obvious. If you are replacing one because it failed early, that is fine; if you are replacing on wear, do the set.

Do you stock these, or is it a wait?

They are stocked. Nozzles ship same-day from our Mumbai and Rajkot warehouses because a nozzle you are waiting on is a machine that is not running. Keep a spare set on the shelf and you never make that call.

Ordering, Dispatch & Support

Buying a full set across all five stone bands, or stocking spares for a multi-machine floor? Ask for set pricing rather than ordering them one at a time — and tell us how many nozzle positions your machine has so we send the right count.

Semsons Tech has supplied the Indian jewellery trade since 1978, with 16+ stores and warehouses, 450+ dealers and 40+ distributors behind every consumable we sell.

Not sure which part fits your machine? Send us your machine model and the stone size you are running, and we will confirm the correct item before we dispatch — so you never pay to find out it was the wrong one.
