The widest-range nozzle in the family. 503B covers 1.5 mm right through 1.9 mm and works across two trays — the DSSMT-02/SSMWT-02 15-16 zone and the whole of DSSMT-03/SSMWT-03. One nozzle, a broad slice of your accent and halo work, fewer changeovers. Stocked, same-day dispatch from Mumbai and Rajkot.

The 503B is the most useful nozzle in the range if your work moves around. It spans five stone sizes from 1.5 to 1.9 mm and reaches across two different trays, which means one nozzle covers the top of everyday pavé and the whole of accent and halo work. On a floor where designs mix a halo band with pavé fill, that is a nozzle change you stop making mid-job.
Range is convenience, but it is not permission to guess. The 503B is calibrated to seal across 1.5–1.9 mm and no further; step below it and the 503 is the right part, step above and you want the 504. Staying inside the published band is what keeps pickup reliable — outside it, you get stones lifted and dropped in travel, which reads on the floor as a machine fault and is actually a parts choice.

This nozzle overlaps the top of the 503 range at 1.5–1.6 mm. If most of your work sits at 1.3–1.4 mm, buy the 503; if it sits at 1.7 mm and above, buy this and let it cover the overlap.
A nozzle is the fastest-wearing part on a stone setting machine, and it rarely fails outright — it degrades. The tip aperture dulls, the sealing sleeve hardens, and your skip rate climbs a little each week until somebody finally notices that the wax models are coming off the bed with gaps in them. Watch for these:
Because this nozzle works across two trays, a worn 503B shows up as inconsistency between jobs rather than within one — clean runs on one design, skips on another. If that is the pattern you are seeing, check the nozzle before you start re-checking your trays.
Your skip rate tells you before anything else does. When a machine that used to run a full tray clean starts leaving occasional empty positions in the wax — and the tray, the air pressure and the stone size have not changed — the nozzle tip is what changed. Under a loupe you will usually see a dulled or slightly belled tip aperture, or a sealing sleeve that has hardened and stopped sealing.
Honestly, it depends on your hours, your stones and your air quality, so any number we quoted would be a guess dressed up as a spec. What we can tell you is what to watch: rising skip rate, inconsistent pickup on one head of a multi-head machine, and visible tip wear. Floors running continuous shifts treat nozzles as a stocked consumable, not a repair part.
Only within its published band. The tip aperture is sized to seal against a specific stone diameter — too small and it will not lift, too large and it loses vacuum around the girdle and drops the stone mid-travel. The ladder above shows exactly which band each nozzle covers.
On a multi-nozzle head, replacing them as a set keeps pickup consistent across positions — one fresh nozzle beside three worn ones just makes the worn ones obvious. If you are replacing one because it failed early, that is fine; if you are replacing on wear, do the set.
They are stocked. Nozzles ship same-day from our Mumbai and Rajkot warehouses because a nozzle you are waiting on is a machine that is not running. Keep a spare set on the shelf and you never make that call.
The SSMN-04 (503B) ships same-day from our Mumbai and Rajkot warehouses, across India and to the 34+ countries we export to. Buying a full set across all five stone bands, or stocking spares for a multi-machine floor? Ask for set pricing rather than ordering them one at a time — and tell us how many nozzle positions your machine has so we send the right count.
Semsons Tech has supplied the Indian jewellery trade since 1978, with 16+ stores and warehouses, 450+ dealers and 40+ distributors behind every consumable we sell.
Not sure which part fits your machine? Send us your machine model and the stone size you are running, and we will confirm the correct item before we dispatch — so you never pay to find out it was the wrong one.
