Wide-format deep-pocket tray. At 2.0–2.5 mm a round has real mass, so this tray drops to a 15 × 49 grid of 735 deeper pockets that hold each stone square while the 504 nozzle lifts it. Fewer stones per fill than the pavé trays — deliberately. Order it if your machine takes the wide-format holder. Same-day dispatch from Mumbai and Rajkot.

Above 2 mm the physics change, and the tray has to change with them. A 2.5 mm round carries several times the mass of a pavé stone, and a shallow pocket lets it rock, tilt or walk under vibration. The SSMWT-04 answers that with a coarser 15 × 49 layout, deeper pockets on a (Z5) pitch and wider (X-4) × (Y3.5) spacing — 735 positions per fill, every one of them holding its stone exactly where the 504 nozzle expects it.
The stones on this tray are the expensive ones. A misfeed at 0.9 mm costs a rework; a misfeed at 2.4 mm can cost the stone. The wider spacing gives the nozzle clearance to approach square and lift clean without disturbing the neighbouring stone with its own airflow — which is precisely the failure mode shallow generic trays produce at this size.

Wide-format and compact trays cover the same stone bands; what differs is the footprint of the tray itself. Which one you need is decided by the tray holder on your machine, not by preference. If you are ordering a wide-format tray for the first time, send us your machine model and we will confirm the fit before dispatch. The compact equivalent of this tray is DSSMT-04 (20 × 40 grid, 800 stones).
Deep pockets collect dust and wax debris faster than shallow ones, so blow this tray out with clean dry air more often than you would a pavé tray. A pocket half-full of debris holds its stone high, and a stone held high gets clipped rather than lifted. Invert to empty, store flat and supported, and keep solvents off the pocket faces.
Match three things and you cannot go wrong: the stone size band (2.0 – 2.5 mm for this tray), the nozzle already fitted to your machine (504), and your machine model. If any of the three does not match, order the tray next to it on the ladder above instead — or send us your machine model and stone size and we will confirm it for you before dispatch.
Yes — this tray is dimensioned for Semsons Tech Mini Pro, Pro Series, Pro Plus and Double Head 8 Nozzle wax setting machines. It is not a generic import tray cut to a nominal size; the pocket pitch is machined to the coordinate map our setters actually use, which is what keeps pickup accurate from the first stone to the last.
Stay inside the published band. Stones under the band sit too deep for the nozzle to seat against, and oversized stones bridge across the pocket mouth and get knocked aside on the next pass. Both show up as skipped positions in the wax, which you only discover after casting.
Most production floors keep one tray per size band they actually run, plus a spare of their highest-volume band. On double-station and double-head machines a second tray removes the reload pause entirely — you pre-fill one while the other is on the bed.
Empty it by inversion over a sorting pad rather than brushing stones across the pockets, blow out dust with clean dry air, and store it flat. Never stack loaded trays, and keep solvents off the pocket faces — anything that etches or scores a pocket changes its depth, and depth is what the nozzle is calibrated against.
Because these stones are roughly three times the diameter and need both deeper pockets and more clearance between them. At this size the number that matters is not stones per fill — it is clean, square pickup on every one, and that is what the coarser grid buys.
The SSMWT-04 ships same-day from our Mumbai and Rajkot warehouses, across India and to the 34+ countries we export to. Buying a full set of wide-format SSMWT trays to cover your whole size range, or restocking several of one band for a multi-machine floor? Ask for set pricing rather than ordering them one at a time.
