Terms of sale and use
These are the terms you agree to when you buy from Semsons Tech. They are written in plain English, and they say what we owe you and what you owe us.
You tick a box agreeing to this page before you pay, so it should be readable in one sitting. Nothing below is hidden in small print: what you are buying, what it costs, when it arrives, what happens if it arrives broken, and which court settles an argument are each given their own section. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you order — the contact details are at the bottom and they are answered by people, not a form.
In effect from 3 October 2026. This is the current version of these terms.

The short version
You buy from Semsons Tech LLP, Mumbai. Each product page says whether its price includes GST. Where it does not, GST is added at checkout. Either way, the GST is shown at checkout and on your tax invoice. You need an account to order. Your order is an offer; the contract starts when we confirm it. Machines are sold on a booking amount with the balance due on installation, and they arrive with a technician who sets them up and trains your operator. Setting machines carry a 12-month warranty from commissioning. Delivered goods are not returnable for a refund: a verified manufacturing defect is replaced, and if something arrives damaged or wrong, tell us within 48 hours and we will replace it. Indian law applies and the Mumbai courts decide disputes.
1. Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by Semsons Tech LLP. When these terms say “we”, “us” or “Semsons Tech”, that is the company you are contracting with, and it is the company named on your invoice.

2. Using this website
You are welcome to browse, read, compare and quote from this site. Two things are not allowed, and both are about protecting other customers rather than about us.
- Do not scrape or republish the catalogue. The specifications, guides, glossary, photographs and copy on this site are ours. Read them, link to them and quote a line with a credit. Do not copy the catalogue wholesale, resell the content, or run automated harvesting against the site.
- Do not attack or overload the site. No attempts to break into accounts, probe for weaknesses, upload anything harmful, or hammer the servers with automated traffic. If you are a researcher and you find a security problem, write to us — we would rather hear it from you.
Everything else is ordinary use and needs no permission. Linking to any page here is fine and always will be.
3. Who can place an order
You need an account. This shop does not offer guest checkout, so you sign in or register before you can complete an order.
- You can create the account during checkout. There is no need to register separately first. The first checkout step offers sign-in or registration, and the rest of the order carries on from there.
- You must be 18 or older. This is industrial machinery sold to businesses and trade buyers, and a contract of sale needs someone who can legally enter into one.
- Order for a company only if you may bind it. If you put a company name and a GSTIN on the order, you are telling us you are authorised to buy on that company's behalf.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Orders placed from your account are treated as placed by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.
Give us the right GSTIN at checkout if you want to claim input credit. We raise the invoice against the details on the order, and a GSTIN cannot be added to an invoice after it has been issued.
4. Prices, GST and currency
Each product page says whether its price includes GST. Where it does not, GST is added at checkout, so the amount you pay is higher than the figure on the product tile. The GST is shown at checkout and on your tax invoice.
What you see on the site
- BasisThe price as the product page states it: including GST, or before GST
- WhereProduct tiles, product pages, the cart
- CurrencyIndian Rupees by default; US Dollars can be selected
What you actually pay
- BasisThe goods including GST at the rate applying to that product
- PlusOne flat courier charge, shown before payment, unless the product page says delivery is free
- DocumentA GST tax invoice in your name
- The checkout total is the binding figure. The final page before payment shows the goods, the tax and the delivery charge added up. That total is the price of the contract, not the tile price.
- Prices can change without notice. What cannot change is the price of an order we have already confirmed. If a price moves between your order and our confirmation, we tell you and you decide whether to go ahead.
- Export orders are quoted separately. Freight, duties and local taxes in the destination country are not included in a site price and are not paid by us unless the quotation says so in writing.
- Obvious pricing mistakes are not binding. If an item is listed at a price that is clearly wrong — a machine at the price of a consumable, say — we will contact you and cancel or reprice the order rather than pretend it was an offer. Anything you have paid comes straight back.
5. When your order becomes a contract
Putting an order through is an offer to buy. The contract exists once we confirm the order — not at the moment the payment page says thank you.
- You place the order. You choose the items, sign in, see the total with GST and delivery, and pay through Razorpay.
- We acknowledge it. An automatic e-mail confirms we have received the order. This is a receipt, not yet an acceptance.
- We confirm it. We check stock, the delivery address and, for machines, the site requirements. When we confirm the order or dispatch it, the contract is formed on these terms.
- We may decline it. If an item is out of stock, the address cannot be served, the price was clearly wrong, or we cannot verify the payment, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full. We do not have to give a reason, and we will give you one anyway.
Some products are enquiry items rather than shop items: they carry no price and no add-to-cart button because the cost depends on the configuration, the site and the quantity. Ask for a quotation on those and you get a written figure that holds for the period stated on it.
6. Paying for your order
Online orders are paid through Razorpay, our payment gateway. Cash on delivery is not offered. Machines are handled differently, on a booking amount.
Spares and consumables
- HowRazorpay at checkout
- WhenIn full, before dispatch
- Card detailsHandled by the gateway; we never see or store them
Machines
- HowBooking amount first, balance on installation
- Confirmed inYour written quotation
- IncludesInstallation, commissioning and operator training
- We do not hold your card details. Payments are processed by the gateway on its own systems. Nothing about your card reaches this shop.
- Goods stay ours until they are paid for. Ownership passes when we have received the full amount. Risk passes earlier, on delivery — see section 7.
- Refunds go back the way they came. Where a refund is due it is returned to the original payment method. How long your bank then takes is out of our hands.
7. Delivery, risk and ownership
Stocked spares and consumables are dispatched the same day from Mumbai and Rajkot and travel by Express Courier, quoted at 3 to 5 business days inside India. One flat courier charge is added at checkout and you see it before you pay, unless the product page says delivery is free.
- Same day means dispatched, not delivered. The parcel leaves our warehouse the same day when the item is in stock. How long the courier then takes depends on where you are, which is why checkout quotes a range and not a date.
- Sorting trays and suction nozzles are dispatched in about 1 to 2 days, not the same day.
- Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. We give you the courier's transit time honestly and we chase a late parcel with you. We cannot promise a date that a third-party courier controls.
- Risk passes to you on delivery. From the moment the goods reach the address on the order, they are at your risk. Ownership passes separately, when payment has cleared in full.
- Check the parcel when it arrives. If the packaging is damaged, note it with the courier at the point of delivery if you can. It makes a claim far easier, for both of us.
Delivery inside India, export shipping and what happens on installation day are set out in full on delivery across India and export.
8. Machines, installation and training
A machine is not sold as a crate on a pallet. It is delivered on a date agreed with you, set up by our technician, and handed over to an operator we have trained.
- Installation and training are included. The technician checks the power supply and the compressed air against the machine's rating, levels and commissions the machine, and runs it on your own models before leaving. Operator training is part of the price, not an extra.
- The site has to be ready. We go through power, air, floor space and the access route with you before delivery. If the machine cannot be installed because the site is not ready on the agreed day, a second visit may be chargeable — we will tell you before we book it, never after.
- Installation charges and service contracts are quoted, not listed. They depend on the machine and the site, so they are confirmed in writing on your quotation rather than published as a price list.
What is included after delivery is set out on installation, training, spares and service.
9. Warranty
Warranty runs from commissioning — the day the machine is set up and handed over — not from the invoice date or the delivery date. The same team that installed the machine supports it afterwards.
| Equipment | Warranty |
|---|---|
| X4 Pro Plus and Pro Mini wax setting machines | 12 months, extendable |
| Portable gold testing machine | 1 year, extendable |
| ST4820 ultrasonic cleaner | Replacement within 30 days of delivery for a verified manufacturing defect (see section 10) |
Warranty work is done through the Mumbai and Rajkot offices and the dealer network across 16+ Indian cities.
- It covers manufacturing and material faults. If a covered part fails in normal use inside the warranty period, we repair or replace it. Which of the two is our choice, and the work is free.
- It does not cover wear, misuse or consumables. Nozzles, sorting trays, setting silicone and mounting bases are consumables: they wear out in normal running and are replaced on a schedule. Damage from an unstable power supply, unsuitable compressed air, accident, or repair by someone other than us or an authorised dealer is also outside the warranty.
- Keep the machine serviced and the warranty stands. Use the machine as trained, use genuine spares, and keep the supply within the ratings we gave you at installation.
10. Returns, cancellations and damage
Delivered goods are not returnable for a refund. If a product has a manufacturing defect, we replace it once the defect is verified. Our refund policy and cancellation policy set out the full rules; the main points are below. There is no self-service returns button in your account: you tell us what has gone wrong, we agree what happens next, and we confirm it in writing before anything moves.
- Damaged or wrong on arrival: tell us within 48 hours. Phone or e-mail us within 48 hours of delivery with the order number and a photograph of the item and its packaging. We replace the damaged item, or send the item you ordered. This is the one deadline on this page that matters, because a courier claim closes quickly.
- No returns for a change of mind. We do not take back goods you no longer need, ordered by mistake or found unsuitable, even if they are unused and unopened. Do not ship anything back before we confirm it, or we cannot trace it to your order. If we ask you to send back a faulty item, or one we sent in error, we pay the carriage.
- Machines are not a courier return. A commissioned machine is supported, repaired or replaced through the service team under section 9, not sent back in a box. Call the service desk and we will get an engineer to it.
- The ST4820 ultrasonic cleaner is non-returnable. If it has a manufacturing defect, tell us within 30 days of delivery with the order number and what the fault is. Once we have verified the defect, we replace the machine. Damage from a fall, misuse, the wrong cleaning liquid or normal wear is not a manufacturing defect. If it arrives damaged, the 48-hour rule above applies.
- Sorting trays are non-returnable. If a tray has a manufacturing defect, tell us with the order number and a photo of the fault. Once we have verified the defect, we replace the tray. Wear from use and damage from a fall or from solvents are not manufacturing defects. If a tray arrives damaged or is not the model you ordered, the 48-hour rule above applies.
- Suction nozzles are non-returnable. If a nozzle has a manufacturing defect, contact us with the order number. Once we have verified the defect, we replace the nozzle.
- AB silicone putty is non-returnable. If it has a manufacturing defect, tell us with the order number and a photo of the fault. Once we have verified the defect, we replace the affected putty. If it arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, the 48-hour rule above applies.
- Everything else. Any other product with a verified manufacturing defect is replaced. If a replacement cannot be supplied, we refund what you paid for that item.
- Cancelling before dispatch. If your order has not been dispatched yet, tell us and we will cancel it and refund you in full, with no cancellation charge. Once it is with the courier it can no longer be cancelled.
- Made-to-order and configured items. Anything built, imported or configured specifically for you cannot be cancelled once we have started it. We will always tell you when that point is coming.
Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under Indian consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Where those rights give you more than this page does, they win.
11. Specifications, photographs and stock
We publish detailed specifications because buyers of this equipment need them. We keep them accurate, and two honest caveats apply.
- Specifications can be improved. Manufacturers change components and revise models. Where a change matters to how the machine performs for you, we tell you before you order. Ask us to confirm a figure in writing if you are designing a line around it.
- Photographs are illustrative. Colours vary between screens, and accessories shown in a photograph are not included unless the specification lists them.
- Stock is not reserved by the cart. Availability shown on the site is our best current view. If something sells out between your order and our confirmation, we tell you and offer the alternative or a refund.
Terms used across these pages are defined in the machinery glossary.
12. What we are responsible for
We are responsible for supplying what you ordered, in working order, and for putting it right when we get that wrong. We are not responsible for everything that might follow from a machine being late or down.
- Our liability is limited to the value of your order. For any one order, what we can be asked to pay is capped at the amount you paid for it.
- Indirect losses are excluded. Lost production, lost profit, lost contracts and similar knock-on losses are not covered. Insure production risk of that kind separately.
- Events outside anyone's control. We are not liable for delay caused by things neither of us controls — transport failures, natural events, strikes, or a change in the law. We tell you as soon as we know and we agree a new date with you.
- Some things cannot be limited, and we do not try. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that Indian law does not allow to be excluded.
13. Your data
We use your details to run your account and to invoice, deliver and support your order. Our privacy policy sets out in full what we collect, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how you can see, correct or delete it.
- We share it only to run the shop and deliver your order. For example, the courier gets your delivery address and the payment gateway handles your payment. We do not sell your details to anyone.
- Marketing is opt-in. You get the newsletter only if you ask for it, and you can stop it at any time in your account.
- You can ask what we hold. Write to the contact desk and ask for a copy, a correction or deletion of your data, and we will action it.
14. Which law and which courts apply
These terms are governed by the law of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, which is the same position printed on every invoice we issue.
If something goes wrong, the fastest route is almost never a court. Call the sales or service number, say what has happened, and give us the chance to fix it. Most problems on machinery of this kind are a part, a setting or a visit away from being solved.
15. Changes to these terms
We update this page when the way we work changes. The version in force for your order is the one published on the day you placed it, and the effective date is shown at the top of this page.
Changes are not applied backwards to orders we have already confirmed. If you buy from us regularly, it is worth a glance at the date at the top from time to time.
16. How to reach us
A person answers these. If your question is about an order, have the order number ready and it will be quicker.

Ask before you order, not after
If any clause here affects whether a machine suits you — the site requirements, what the warranty covers, how an export order is quoted — ask us first. Write to the contact desk and you will get a straight answer in writing, which is worth more than a guess at checkout.
Common questions about these terms
Do I need an account to place an order?
Yes. This shop does not offer guest checkout, so you sign in or register before an order can be completed. You do not have to register in advance: the first checkout step lets you create the account, and the order carries on from there.
Are the prices on the site inclusive of GST?
It depends on the product, and each product page says which. Where the price includes GST, that is the price of the goods; where it does not, GST is added at checkout. The total on the final page before payment is the binding figure. Your invoice is a GST tax invoice raised against the details on your order.
At what point does my order become a binding contract?
When we confirm the order or dispatch it, not when the payment page says thank you. Placing an order is an offer to buy; the automatic e-mail you get straight afterwards is a receipt acknowledging it. If we cannot fulfil the order we tell you and refund you in full.
How can I pay, and is cash on delivery available?
No, cash on delivery is not offered. Online orders are paid through Razorpay, our payment gateway, using the methods its payment window shows, such as cards, UPI and net banking. Machines are sold on a booking amount with the balance due on installation, confirmed in writing on your quotation. We never see or store your card details.
What warranty comes with a machine, and when does it start?
Warranty runs from commissioning, which is the day the machine is set up and handed over, rather than from the invoice or delivery date. Wax setting machines carry 12 months, extendable. The portable gold testing machine carries 1 year, extendable. A verified manufacturing defect on the ST4820 ultrasonic cleaner is replaced within 30 days of delivery.
What do I do if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Phone or e-mail us within 48 hours of delivery with the order number and a photograph of the item and its packaging, and we will replace it. Report it quickly, because a courier claim closes fast. If the packaging is visibly damaged when it arrives, note it with the courier at the point of delivery.
Can I return something I no longer need?
No. Delivered goods are not returnable for a refund, even if they are unused or unopened. A product with a verified manufacturing defect is replaced, and a commissioned machine is supported through the service team rather than returned by courier. Our refund policy has the details.
Which law and which courts apply to a dispute?
Indian law governs these terms, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai. That is the same position printed on every invoice Semsons Tech LLP issues. Nothing on this page removes rights you have under Indian consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Read next: delivery across India and export covers shipping and installation in full, installation, training, spares and service sets out what happens after delivery, and about Semsons Tech explains who we are. The privacy policy, refund policy and cancellation policy cover those subjects in full.
