Fuses the earring pin onto the piece, with no open flame and no solder stick at the bench.
Every earring has to have its post put on. Doing that with a torch means bringing a flame to a finished piece, keeping solder and a flame going at the bench, and then cleaning up after it. This machine makes the joint a different way. The pin is held against the earring back, the stud or the decorative part, and the machine fuses the two at the point where they touch. What comes off the bench is one piece of metal.
The machine arrives as a complete bench. The work top, the welding arm, the control panel and the power unit are one piece of furniture on levelling feet, so it goes where you stand it and the operator works at it directly.
The work top carries an arm that curves over it, with an electrode post standing under the tip of the arm. The pin and the piece are held together at that point. The machine sends energy through the joint, and the metal fuses where the two touch. The transformer under the work top supplies the energy; the panel on the front sets it. There is no flame anywhere in the operation and nothing is added to the joint.
