Privacy policy
This page explains what personal information Semsons Tech collects when you use this shop, why we need it, who else sees it, and how you can see, correct or delete it.
It is written in plain English and it describes what this shop actually does today, including the outside services we rely on to run it. It covers store.semsonstech.com only. Our company website, semsonstech.com, has its own privacy policy for its enquiry forms. If anything here is unclear, write to us and a person will answer.

The short version
We collect what you need to have an account, place an order and get it delivered and supported: your name, e-mail, phone number, address and, if you give it, your GSTIN. Razorpay handles your payment, so your card, UPI and bank details never reach us. We share your details only with the people and services that make your order happen, such as the courier and our own staff, and we never sell them. There are no advertising trackers on this shop. You can correct your details in your account at any time, and ask us for a copy of them or to delete them.
1. Who we are
This shop is run by Semsons Tech LLP. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “Semsons Tech”, that is who it means, and that is who is responsible for your information.

2. What we collect
Most of what we hold is what you type into the shop yourself. A small amount of technical information is recorded automatically when you visit.

3. Why we use it
We use your information to sell you what you ordered and to look after it afterwards, and for nothing you would not expect.
- To run your account. So you can sign in, see your orders and keep your addresses.
- To fulfil your order. Taking payment, raising the GST tax invoice, dispatching the goods, and for machines, arranging installation, training, warranty and service.
- To talk to you. About your order, a delivery, a quotation or a question you sent us, by phone, e-mail or WhatsApp.
- To meet the law. Keeping GST and accounting records, and answering lawful requests from authorities.
- To keep the shop working and safe. Finding errors, stopping abuse and fake orders, and seeing which pages are used, in totals rather than person by person.
- Newsletter and offers, only if you ask. We send the newsletter only if you ticked the newsletter box. If you ticked “Receive offers from our partners”, we may tell you about offers from companies we work with. That message comes from us; we do not give your details to those companies.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell it or rent it to anyone.
4. Who else sees it
An order passes through a few hands and a few services. Each one gets only what it needs for its part of the job.

Some of these providers handle data outside India, for example Cloudflare on its worldwide network and Google for e-mail.
5. Cookies
A cookie is a small file the shop stores in your browser. This shop uses two of its own, and both are needed for it to work. There are no advertising or social media tracking cookies.

- Razorpay’s payment window may set its own cookies while you pay. Its privacy policy covers them.
- Cloudflare may set its own security cookies, for example when it checks that a visitor is a person and not an automated program. Cloudflare says its Web Analytics does not use cookies.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Without the PrestaShop cookie you cannot sign in or keep items in your cart.
6. How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the reason we collected it, and longer only where the law says we must.
- Your account stays until you ask us to close it.
- Orders and invoices are kept for at least as long as GST law requires. Today that is 72 months from the due date of the annual GST return for the year of the order.
- Messages and reviews are kept while they are useful for looking after you. Ask us and we will remove your review.
- Server and visit records are kept on our server and used only to run, fix and protect the shop.
7. How we protect it
We take reasonable care of your information. No website can promise perfect security, so here is exactly what we do.
- Encrypted connection. The whole shop runs over HTTPS, so what you type travels encrypted.
- Passwords are hashed. We store a scrambled version of your password, never the password itself.
- Payments stay with Razorpay. Card, UPI and net banking details are entered on Razorpay’s payment window and never reach our server.
- Staff access only. The shop’s back office needs a staff login.
- If something goes wrong. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Your choices and rights
Your information is yours. Some changes you can make yourself in your account; for everything else, write to us.
- Correct your details yourself. Sign in and open My Account. Information holds your name, e-mail, phone and password; Addresses holds your addresses.
- Stop the newsletter or partner offers. Untick the box under My Account, Information, or write to us. This does not affect your orders.
- Get a copy of your information. Write to [email protected] from the e-mail address on your account and we will send you what we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete it. Write to us the same way and we will delete or anonymise your account. We keep what the law makes us keep, such as invoices, for the period in section 6.
- Complain. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, write to our Grievance Officer in section 11.
We reply to these requests within one month.
9. Children
This shop sells industrial machinery and supplies to businesses. You must be 18 or older to place an order, as our terms of sale say. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If you think a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
10. Changes to this policy
When the way we handle information changes, we update this page. The date at the top always shows the version in force.
11. Grievance Officer and contact
For any question or complaint about your personal information, or about an order, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it.

Do you sell my personal information?
No. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We share it only with the services that make your order happen, such as Razorpay for payment and the courier for delivery, and each gets only what it needs.
Do you see or store my card details?
No. You enter card, UPI or net banking details on Razorpay’s own payment window. We only receive whether the payment went through and its reference number.
Why do you need my phone number?
The courier needs it to deliver your order, and we use it to reach you about your order, a delivery or an installation.
How do I delete my account?
Write to [email protected] from the e-mail address on your account and ask us to delete it. We delete or anonymise your details, and keep only what the law requires, such as invoices for GST.
