Semsons Tech is a Mumbai company. The head office is in Kandivali West and has supplied the city's jewellery manufacturers since 1978: SEEPZ export units, Zaveri Bazaar trade houses, and the workshops across Andheri, Malad, Borivali and Goregaon. Machines are demonstrated, installed and serviced locally, and stocked spares dispatch the same day.

Why Mumbai is a different market

Mumbai is the hub of machine-made jewellery in India, and SEEPZ is the single largest cluster of modern jewellery manufacturing in the country: a roughly 200-acre export processing zone that accounts for more than half of India's studded jewellery exports, between $2.75 billion and $3 billion a year. GJEPC and Exim Bank's cluster mapping puts Mumbai Suburban at the top of India's 17 high-potential gem and jewellery districts.

In practice that means a concentration of units running continuous, high-volume, export-grade studded work to tight tolerances and fixed shipping dates. Two consequences shape what they buy:

  • Throughput and repeatability matter more than unit price. A setting line that drifts costs more in rework than the machine saved. ±0.02 mm placement, held across a 12,000-stone hour, is the specification that matters.
  • Downtime is the real cost. An export unit that misses a shipment window loses the order, not just the day. Spares availability and local service response decide the purchase as often as the specification does.

What Mumbai units buy from us

Automatic stone setting first. The X4 Pro Plus double-station machine sets 12,000 stones per hour across all stations from a four-tray feed holding 12,800 stones, to ±0.02 mm, and does the work of 10 to 12 skilled manual setters. It is the configuration SEEPZ-scale studded lines run. Smaller Andheri and Malad workshops more often start with the Pro Mini single-station machine at up to 10,000 stones per hour, which sits on a normal workbench and draws 1.3 kW from a single-phase socket.

Then the consumables that keep those lines running: diamond sorting trays and suction nozzles matched to stone size from 0.8 to 3.0 mm, wax setting silicone and mounting bases, and the ultrasonic cleaner for post-setting cleaning at 40 kHz. The tray and nozzle selector gives the full pairing chart. Bharat Diamond Bourse merchants and Zaveri Bazaar buyers also take the portable XRF gold analyzer, which reads karat in 5 to 60 seconds without scratching or acid.

Machines can be seen running before you buy. If you are within Mumbai, that is worth doing: stone pickup behaviour is easier to judge in person than from a specification sheet.

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply units inside SEEPZ?

Yes. SEEPZ is a customs-bonded zone, so delivery follows the zone's own gate and documentation procedure. Tell us the unit name and we will handle the paperwork with your clearing agent.

How fast can you get a spare to a Mumbai unit?

Stocked spares, trays, nozzles, silicone and mounting bases, dispatch the same day from Mumbai. For a line that is down, call sales rather than ordering online so the part can be confirmed against your machine model before it ships.

Can we see a machine running before ordering?

Yes. Contact sales to arrange a demonstration at the Kandivali West office.
