Diamond Trays for Automatic Wax Setting Machines

Ten tray models for round stones from 0.8 mm to 3.0 mm, in standard and wide format.

The diamond sorting tray is the part of a Semsons Tech automatic wax setting machine that holds the stones. It has one pocket for each stone. You fill it with stones of one size, place it on the machine, and the suction nozzle picks the stones one by one and sets them in the wax model, which is then cast in metal.

How It Works

1. Fill. Put stones of one size into the tray, one stone to each pocket.
2. Place. Set the tray on the machine, with the nozzle made for that stone size.
3. Pick and set. The nozzle lifts each stone from its pocket, sets it in the wax and moves to the next pocket.

Each pocket holds its stone at the height the nozzle picks from, so the tray, the nozzle and the stone size have to match. Trays for stones of 2.0 mm and above have deep pockets, so the bigger stone sits flat.

Measure your round stone in millimetres, find its row, then choose standard or wide.

• A standard tray holds more stones per fill. A wide tray is wider and shorter and holds fewer. Both take the same stone sizes.
• Each model is one tray and a separate line in the cart, so you can order different models together.
• The suction nozzles 502 to 504 are sold separately. The tray and nozzle selector has the full chart.

Care

• Empty the tray by turning it over onto a sorting pad. Do not sweep stones across the pockets.
• Blow out dust with clean, dry air.
• Store it flat and unstacked, and keep solvents off the pocket faces. A scored or dented pocket changes its depth, and the nozzle is set to that depth.

What is a diamond tray for a wax setting machine?

It is the tray an automatic wax setting machine picks its stones from. It has one pocket for each stone. The suction nozzle lifts the stones one by one and sets them in the wax model before the model is cast in metal.

Which tray do I need for my stone size?

Measure the diameter of your round stone in millimetres and find it in the Choose Your Tray table. Each size has a standard tray, a wide tray and the nozzle that goes with them.

Which tray is for 1.0 mm stones?

DSSMT-01 (standard) or DSSMT-01L (wide). Both take 0.8–1.2 mm stones. Use the 502B nozzle for 1.0–1.2 mm stones and the 502 for 0.8–0.9 mm.

Which nozzle goes with my tray?

The one on the same row of the table: 502 or 502B for the 0.8–1.2 mm trays, 503 or 503B for 1.3–1.6 mm, 503B for 1.7–1.9 mm, and 504 for every tray from 2.0 mm.

What is the difference between DSSMT and SSMWT trays?

DSSMT-01 to DSSMT-05 are the standard trays. SSMWT-02 to SSMWT-05 are the wide trays, and the wide tray for 0.8–1.2 mm stones is coded DSSMT-01L. Both formats cover the same stone sizes.

How many stones does one tray hold?

A standard tray holds 3,200 stones up to 1.9 mm and 800 from 2.0 mm. A wide tray holds 2,550 up to 1.9 mm and 735 from 2.0 mm. The 2.0 mm and larger trays hold fewer because their pockets are deeper, so a bigger stone sits flat.

Does the tray work only with round stones?

Every model is made for round stones from 0.8 to 3.0 mm. For any other cut, send us the stone details before you order.

Can I use lab-grown diamonds, CZ or synthetic stones?

Yes. The trays hold natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds (CVD and HPHT), CZ and synthetic round stones, as long as the size is inside the tray's range.

Will it fit my machine?

Every model fits the X4 Pro Plus, Pro Mini and ST-HDSSM automatic wax setting machines. For any other machine, send us its model before you order.

Can I put a different stone size in a tray?

Stay inside the size range of the tray. A stone that is too small sits too deep for the nozzle to reach, and one that is too large sits above the pocket and is knocked aside. Both leave gaps in the wax.

Does the price include GST?

Yes. The price shown is per tray, includes 18% GST and is the same for all ten models. The tax invoice shows the amount before GST and the GST separately.

Is there a discount when I order more trays?

Yes. When one order holds 6 or more trays, every tray in it is ₹100 cheaper, GST included. Five trays are charged at the normal price; with six, all six get the lower price. Different models count together, so 3 DSSMT-01 and 3 DSSMT-04 make 6 trays.

How many trays can I order?

Up to 10 trays per customer per day, in any mix of models.

How soon will it be dispatched?

In about 1 to 2 days. Delivery is free anywhere in India, and checkout shows the courier time of 3 to 5 business days after dispatch.

Can I return a tray?

No, trays are not returnable. If a tray has a manufacturing defect, send us the order number and a photo of the fault, and we replace it once the defect is verified. If a tray arrives damaged or is not the model you ordered, tell us within 48 hours of delivery.
