Gold Analyzer XRF Signet Si-Pin
Tests gold, silver and platinum purity in 5 to 60 seconds with no acid and no scratching. The analyzer connects to your own PC or laptop, so there is nothing to buy twice if you already have one on the counter.
✔ 0 to 24K - exact karat, not a rough range
✔ No damage to the piece - no acid, no filing, no marks
✔ Catches gold plating - alerts when only the surface is gold
✔ Catches tungsten-filled bars - the fake acid and density tests miss
✔ Reads 15 metals at once - gold, silver, platinum, copper and more
✔ Safe all day - sealed chamber, X-ray stops when the door opens
For jewellers, gold buyers, bullion traders, gold loan branches and hallmarking centres. Installation and training included.

Know the exact purity of any gold piece in under a minute, without leaving a mark on it.
Acid testing scratches the piece, needs dangerous chemicals and still only gives you a rough karat range. With the Signet Si-Pin you place the item inside, close the door and press test. In 5 to 60 seconds the screen shows the karat, the purity percentage and every metal in the alloy. Nothing is scratched, nothing is filed, and the customer gets the piece back exactly as they handed it over. This is the plain unit: the analyzer connects to a PC or laptop you already have.
The machine sends a very low-power X-ray at the item. Every metal reacts to X-rays in its own way and sends back its own signal. The Si-PIN detector reads those signals, and the software works out which metals are present and how much of each. From that it calculates the karat. This is why the test is exact and why it is non-destructive. Nothing touches the piece except light.
There is no sample preparation and no chemical to handle.
| Requirement | What it means |
|---|---|
| A PC or laptop | Windows, connected to the analyzer over the supplied cable. Our engineer installs and calibrates the software on it during commissioning. |
| A normal power socket | 220–240 V, the same as any counter appliance. No separate room, no extraction. |
| Counter space | It sits on a countertop next to the screen you already use. |
| No screen of its own | If you would rather not use a separate computer, the Signet Si-Pin with Touch Screen is the same analyzer with the computer and screen built into the body. |
| Problem | What the analyzer does |
|---|---|
| Gold-plated brass or copper sold as gold | Raises a gold plating alert when only the surface is gold |
| Tungsten-filled bars and biscuits | Sees the tungsten core under the gold layer. Density tests miss this because tungsten weighs almost the same as gold. |
| Under-karat jewellery | Gives the exact karat, not a range. 18K that is really 16K shows up at once. |
| Lead or cadmium in the alloy | Reports both, which matters for export orders |
| Disputes with customers | Gives a printed report with the full metal breakdown |
Rings, chains, bangles, necklaces and earrings, including pieces with stones set in them. Gold coins, biscuits and bars. Scrap and old gold. Silver, platinum and palladium. Watches and dental alloys. Anything with a metal surface large enough for the 1.5 mm test spot.

The analyzer and the detector are the same, so the readings are the same. This one has no screen and no computer of its own and runs from your PC or laptop. The touch screen model has both built into the body and works on its own. Pick this one if there is already a computer on the counter.
A standard Windows PC or laptop with a free USB port is enough. Our engineer installs the software and calibrates it against reference samples during commissioning, so the machine arrives ready to test.
The FSDD uses a silicon drift detector instead of the Si-PIN diode: 125 to 140 eV against about 190 eV, and 0.01 to 0.03% against 0.01 to 0.05%. Take the FSDD when the reading goes on a hallmarking certificate or a refining report. For counter verification, loan valuation and buying scrap, the Si-Pin reads accurately enough.
Yes. The X-ray tube runs at only 4 watts, the chamber is sealed and lead-shielded, and the X-ray switches off automatically the moment the door opens. The machine will not run with the door open. It meets BIS, IEC and FDA radiation safety standards.
No. Nothing touches the piece. There is no scratching, no acid and no filing. The customer gets the item back exactly as it was.
Acid gives you a rough range of about 2 to 3 karats either way, damages the piece, and cannot see plating or tungsten fills. XRF gives you the exact karat and the full metal breakdown in seconds, with no damage.
Yes. The camera shows you the test spot, so you aim the 1.5 mm spot at the metal and avoid the stone. The stones do not need to be removed.
Yes. Tungsten-filled bars pass density tests because tungsten weighs almost the same as gold. XRF reads the composition and flags the tungsten core under the gold layer.
Between 5 and 60 seconds. Use the quick check when you are buying from the public, and the 60 second precision test when the result is going on a certificate.
About 8,000 hours of operation, which is roughly 48,000 tests. At 50 tests a day that is over two and a half years. Replacement tubes are stocked by Semsons.
Yes. The software stores every test and prints a report with the karat, purity percentage and metal breakdown. Reports can also be exported over USB or the network.
No. It runs on a normal 220–240 V socket and sits on a counter. No separate room and no extraction is needed.
Yes. A Semsons technician installs the machine, checks radiation safety, calibrates it against reference samples and trains your operator on site.
Price is quoted per configuration, because the detector grade and the software options change the figure. Send us a WhatsApp message with your daily testing volume and we will quote the right setup. On-site installation, calibration and operator training are included. 1 year warranty, extendable with an annual maintenance contract that covers calibration checks and tube health. Replacement X-ray tubes and calibration reference samples are stocked. EMI options are available through partner banks. Service across 16+ Indian cities.
