Semsons Tech ST4820 ultrasonic jewellery cleaner guide: parts of the machine, how 40 kHz cleaning works, four steps to use it, what can go in the tank and where it is used

Semsons Tech ST4820 Ultrasonic Cleaner - 2.3 L, 40 kHz Jewellery Cleaning Machine

Cleans rings, chains and settings in water, with no brush touching the metal.

Jewellery collects skin oil, soap, dust and polishing compound where a cloth cannot reach: under a prong, between chain links, behind a stone, inside engraving. The ST4820 cleans those places with sound waves in a 2.3 L tank of water. You put the pieces in the basket, close the lid and start the cycle. It sits on a showroom counter, a repair desk or a workbench.

How It Works

Transducers under the tank make the water vibrate 40,000 times a second. That is what 40 kHz means. The vibration forms tiny bubbles that collapse against the metal and the stones, and each collapse knocks dirt loose. The water reaches every gap in the piece, so the cleaning does too, and nothing solid rubs against the surface.

How to Use It

  1. Fill the tank with water, enough to cover the pieces. Add a few drops of mild jewellery-cleaning liquid or dish soap for oily dirt. Never switch it on with the tank empty.
  2. Load the pieces into the basket, spread out so they do not rest on each other.
  3. Close the lid and start the cycle from the control panel.
  4. Rinse and dry each piece in clean water and pat it dry with a soft cloth.
  5. Empty the tank and wipe it dry at the end of the day.

What Can Go in the Tank

Most gold, silver and diamond jewellery cleans well. Some stones and Indian pieces do not, so check the piece first.

Common Questions

What is the ST4820?

A table-top ultrasonic jewellery cleaner with a 2.3 L tank that runs at 40 kHz. It cleans jewellery in water using sound waves instead of a brush.

Is 40 kHz right for jewellery?

Yes. 40 kHz makes small bubbles that clean fine settings, chain links and engraving without being harsh on finished pieces.

Is it safe for gold, silver and diamond jewellery?

Yes, for solid gold, silver and platinum and for diamonds, rubies and sapphires in a secure setting. Check the prongs first, because the vibration can shake a loose stone out.

What should never go in an ultrasonic cleaner?

Pearls, coral, amber, opal, emerald, turquoise, tanzanite, lapis and malachite, and any stone that is fracture-filled, oiled, dyed or glued. Keep kundan, polki, meenakari, gold-plated and 1-gram gold pieces out as well. The table above says how to clean each one instead.

What liquid should I use?

Water, with a few drops of mild jewellery-cleaning liquid or dish soap for oily dirt. Tap water works. Do not use petrol, thinner, alcohol or nail-polish remover.

How long should one cycle run?

Start with a short cycle of a few minutes and check the piece. Heavy polishing compound may need a second cycle. Leaving pieces in much longer adds nothing and shakes the settings more.

Does it remove tarnish from silver?

No. It removes dirt, oil and polishing compound. Tarnish is a chemical layer on the silver, so polish it off with a silver cloth first, then clean the piece in the tank.

Is it suitable for a jewellery shop?

Yes. At 2.3 L it fits on a counter or a bench, so a customer's ring or chain can be cleaned while they wait, and finished stock can be cleaned before display.

Is GST included in the price?

Yes. The price shown includes 18% GST, and the GST amount is listed separately on your tax invoice.

Is delivery free, and how long does dispatch take?

Delivery is free anywhere in India. The machine is dispatched about 10 to 15 days after the order, and courier transit comes after that. The checkout shows the transit time for your address.

How many can I order?

Up to 10 units per customer per day. For a larger quantity, call the wholesale desk on +91 80823 38010.

Can I return it?

No. This product is non-returnable.

What if the machine has a manufacturing defect?

Message us on WhatsApp within 30 days of delivery with your order number and what the fault is. Once the defect is verified, we replace the machine. Damage from a fall, misuse, the wrong cleaning liquid or normal wear is not a manufacturing defect.
